30Jun19 Blackmore Vale Show
Charlton Remembrance Hall, Charlton, Shaftsbury, Dorset. SP7 0PL.
The show was a great success with traders visitors and societies that displayed.
We set up the tables and displayed the night before, and then the rest was done in the morning. The cafe was well liked, and busy all day. The traders were doing plenty of sales, and the demonstrations were watched eagerly.
Later in the day the raffle was drawn and then the prizes were announced.
The winners of the Best Society Display and well deserved was Staverton Bonsai Group.
Best tree in Show was won by Ian Duff after a tie break. Ian also won the shield for the best Blackmore Vale Bonsai Group members' tree.
The shields were donated by Tony Moore for the Best Society.
The Best tree in Show donated by Geoff Hobson.
The Best Members' Tree shield was donated by Pat Pocock.
Each winner also received a replica.
The shields are held for one year.
The show next year is on 28th June 2020.
